Upping Your Game Competition

For example a set of period appropriate feast gear/table setting; maybe an example of a shoe, not necessarily a gold encrusted shoe, but if you were wearing sneakers – it would definitely qualify as upping your game; a ruffled veil; just thoughts and possible examples…
